FAQ's

The cushion isn't blowing up?

Many people mistakenly think air gets blown into the VACOcast. In fact, the opposite is occurring as air gets sucked OUT of the VACOcast cushion. The bulb squeezes the air out, so the micro beads inside the cushion can contour the limb.

What is the difference between VACOcast Fit and VACOcast Pro?

VACOcast Fit is a fixed position boot. VACOcast Pro has a hinge mechanism, to adjust flexion and enable controlled ROM.

There are two soles included with my VACOcast Pro. Which sole should I use?

Your doctor will let you know if you should use the 'wedge sole' for Achilles indications, or the 'flat sole' for bone fractures and other indications. The wedge sole is often used for flexion settings from 10° to 30°. For more information, see "Adjusting the angles" on page 10 of the user manual.

I misplaced my manual. Where can I get another?

You can download a PDF of the instructions for VACOcast Fit here, and a PDF of VACOcast Pro here.
